Food for fuel!

Yesterday I focused on my meals and took some time to take pictures of what I eat! I usually stick to the same meals until I get bored with it and then I change it up a bit! I like to eat about every 2-3 hours! This aids in reving up the metabolism! And before breakfast I have probably already workout and drank some results and recovery formula!

For breakfast, I like to eat some protien! I buy the OroWheat double fiber english muffins, fry one whole egg with two egg whites and add some low-moisture skim cheese! Right around 300 calories. 33 grams of carbs/11 grams of fat/24 grams of protein

Here is a picture of some greek yogurt, blueberries, granola, and a drizzle of honey and cinnamon. This is a yummy meal and defiantly helps me when I have a craving for sweets! And lets not forget that greek yogurt is loaded with protien! About 232 calories, 45 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fat, 14 grams of protein.

For dinner I had 4oz of chicken and 1/2 cup of Quinoa! I grilled my chicken and cooked my Quinoa with shredded zuchinni and carrots!

My daughter had a t-ball game after dinner so I didn't get to my last meal until closer to 9:00pm which wasn't a good idea because I wasn't able to fall asleep soon, thanks to Shakeology!
Last night I mixed my Shakeolgy with Silk Soy Light and ice! But when I have more calories to eat I like to add peanut butter and half a banana! If I am drinking Greenberry I usually do the same but omit the peanut butter! Total calories for my last meal: 196, 27 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fat, 20 grams of protein.

Besides the meals I pictured I did do some snacking but over all I did pretty good! I totaled for the day 1574 calories which was really close to my goal of 1807 for yesterday! I am trying trying to zig zag this week so I think 1574 was a good number and it gave me a few catchall calories in case I underestimated with some foods!

I would really like some feedback from you, let me know what you eat and what would you add to my meals to make them better!

Zig Zagging Calories = weight loss

I use myfitnesspal.com to log my calories, and recently I have read allot of post of people who have had success zig zagging their calories to loose weight! There are allot of sites that will give you a zig zag calorie goal; however, the one I looked at is http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

You enter all your information into the boxes age, height, ect., and then I went to the advance features and clicked for it to use the Harris Benedict formula (the one used in the Insanity guide). For lack of a description of my workout days I used the workout intensely for 5 days. According to what I plugged in, my maintenance calories is at 2259, fat loss is at 1807, and extreme fat loss would be at 1355! I proceeded to click on the zig zagging link and it gave me some calorie goals for each day!

The purpose of zig zagging your calories is to keep you body guessing everyday on the calorie consumption. And after an on going battle with the scale I might go ahead and try the zig zag method for myself! It's worth a try!

Words to avoid!

Out for a run and I was thinking of some word we tend to use that keep us from pushing forward! I also took some pictures and was excited to see my bicep is growing! Uploaded a video also!! Ok so I have to figure out how to do the video without it cutting off! My brother has this to say! True people rise or fall to whatever standards they set for themselves. Believe you can and you will!! So once again BELIEVE YOU CAN AND YOU WILL!

Insanity Asylum Trial day 2

Started my day off with a dose of Shaunt T's Insanity Asylum Back to Core!

Last night before bed I previewed youtube videos of people doing the workout so this morning I had an idea of what to expect! It was intense and some workouts I coudn't get quite right but my burn only reached 240's! So I decided to throw in the Relief workout and that was a nice surprise to see that it is actually a stretch workout and not another hard workout like in Insanity when on day 4 we expected a recovery and it really wasn't!

So today my body is still sore from yesterday's Strenght workout, that by the way I loved! And tomorrow I plan on running!

As I learn the workouts I will see which ones I want to continue to mix with my running!
